We provide financial support to The Bethlehem Center (the Beth), a faith-based agency with a mission to empower inner-city youth and families to lead responsible lives by providing discipleship, education and leadership development. They are dedicated to transforming lives and revitalizing inner-city communities.
The Beth now offers lifestyle classes and helps residents grow their own raised bed gardens. They also have financial literacy classes.
Their After School and Summer Literacy and Leadership Academies are always full, helping parents and students meet the academic demands of our society. Their After School program provides Literacy Assessment and Instruction, Behavioral Intervention and Enrichment Activities to low income and at risk children in the first through eighth grades. They are held accountable for their homework and taught new skills. 97% of their students are now reading at grade level
