Hope House - UTC Campus Ministry

The Hope House is a mission of the Presbytery of East Tennessee and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The Hope House seeks to be a campus ministry where all God's children are welcome. They strive to provide a safe place where students can ask questions and explore their faith as they grow spiritually, while sitting in the knowledge that they are created in the image of God and called God's beloved.

The Hope House is conveniently located on the edge of the UTC campus at 808 Vine Street and is open from 10:00am-6:00pm Monday through Thursday, 10:00am-4:00pm Friday, and 4:00pm-10:00pm on Sunday. There are lots of couches and places to relax, study, play, or talk with friends. They have a coffee shop downstairs; free Wi-Fi throughout, and even a washer and dryer. The Hope House is staffed by a full time Director of Hospitality and a part time Director of Spirituality.

The Hope House hosts The Table—a rotation based worship service—on Sundays at 5:30pm followed by a delicious home cooked meal. Starting around 11:30am on Tuesdays local congregations provide our longstanding free Tuesday lunch. Theology and Science meets Thursdays at 7:00pm, and on many Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm students can be found participating in movie nights, theme parties, coffee houses, and jam sessions. Throughout the school year various studies are also offered.
